Participants will have the opportunity to engage with adaptive equipment, practical resources, and multi-sensory activities designed to enhance handwriting skills. Suitable for all staff, with the option to focus specifically on teaching assistants. -1.5 hours

Motor Coordination Difficulties: Effects on Classroom Participation and Strategies for Support

This workshop will provide an overview of motor coordination difficulties, including DCD/Dyspraxia and their links with ADHD and ASC, and explore the impact on classroom participation. Participants will learn strategies to support skill development and implement learning techniques such as Goal-Plan-Do-Check and backward chaining to promote skill acquisition. The session will include practical, hands-on activities. -1.5 hours

Understanding Sensory Behaviours: Practical Classroom Strategies

This workshop will provide an overview of sensory processing and observable behaviours that may indicate a sensory need. We will discuss environmental adaptations that be put in place and explore in-class sensory strategies to support self-regulation. Suitable for Senco’s, Teachers and Support Staff. -1.5 hours

Sensory Circuits

This workshop explores the rationale behind sensory circuits and provides guidance on how to set up and run them as part of the school routine. Participants will engage in interactive brainstorming and practice activities using resources commonly found in schools. Suitable for teaching assistants and staff who may be running sensory circuits. -1.5 hours
