Making Sense of Sensory Needs: Strategies for Emotional and Sensory Regulation

This full-day course provides an in-depth exploration of sensory systems and sensory processing differences, with a focus on understanding how these impact learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation.

Participants will gain practical strategies to support students in the classroom, including techniques to enhance engagement, self-regulation, and participation. The course will also link sensory support with interactive activities from the Zones of Regulation and Interoception curriculum, to help students manage emotions and develop self-awareness.

Through discussion, practical activities, and real-life examples, participants will leave equipped with tools to create a supportive, sensory-informed learning environment. This session is for 1 staff member. The price includes lunch & refreshments.
