Speech and Language Assistant Roles in the Heart of the West Midlands
WMSLT is a large, thriving independent practice working within educational settings in Birmingham and surrounding areas. We are a team of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Senior Therapy Assistants and admin support, providing bespoke therapy services to mainstream and specialist primary, secondary and higher education settings.
WMSLT is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly, collaborative, school-based service and further their career as a Senior Therapy Assistant. Applicants will ideally have experience working alongside a Speech and Language Therapist. This may have been in a formal Speech and Language Therapy Assistant role, or through working alongside a therapist in a school or clinic setting, for example as a Communication Champion or Teaching Assistant. Experience delivering speech and language interventions, or supporting children and young people with their communication is desirable. As part of our team you will help light the way to a brighter future for children and young people with communication needs.
Our team works across different school settings throughout the week; therefore, this role requires adaptability and a willingness to travel to meet the needs of the service.

Work with a diverse caseload across mainstream and specialist settings.
Be a part of innovative Universal, Targeted, and Specialist service approaches.
Regularly work alongside Therapists and other Senior Therapy Assistants.
Have access to a Senior Therapy Assistant Manager to guide you in your role.
